Tired of boring oatmeal? Here is yet another idea to jazz up your oats and add a ton of protein! This mouth-watering oatmeal tastes a little reminiscent of blackberry cheesecake, but you can add any kind of berries you want.

Why don’t I make overnight oats? Cold oats don’t really float my oat boat. Overnight oats are great for you, but I am in love with hot food for breakfast. So I use either quick oats or gluten-free five-minute oats so I can experience them hot. Plus, there’s one less thing for me to forget about in the fridge! Fridge clutter drives me up a wall! Maybe I have OCFD (obsessive-compulsive fridge disorder)?

Having less junk in the fridge also reduces food waste and I almost never have to throw anything away, because you can see what you have and you use it. My pantry on the other hand… Packed solid! This will really get you started on a chilly morning, especially if you pair it with EFX Sports Vita-Drive.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 scoop vanilla EFX Sports Pure Whey
  • ½ cup Quick or gluten-free oatmeal
  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup berries of choice—fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp. Plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 stevia sweetener packet (1 tsp)
  • 2 tbsp. Granola

DIRECTIONS:

Follow the directions on your oatmeal package if using another kind of oats; for quick oats, I add the oatmeal, berries, stevia, & water and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds; then stir in the whey and yogurt, and top with granola for some pleasing crunch factor.
